Advice request: 15" E-Series config.

Hi all,

After 5 years of heavy use my budget Gateway laptop is finally failing. I'm in the market for a new laptop which should last for a few years and cope well with some basic HD video editing (Sony Vegas, I expect), photoshop, general use, and occasional light gaming (I'm itching to try Civ-5).

Please could you have a look at the spec below and let me know what you think? I'm planning on ordering a configured VAIO E-Series (15 inch).

Also, should the coming Sandy Bridge releases influence my decision to buy an i5-460M system now? The system below comes out at 769, which is already a little over budget.

Thanks very much.
