I have an 802.11n wireless router (to which my computer hosting PC share manager is hard-wired via a gigabit connection), however, it seems that the DVD player is defaulting to a G/N mixed mode. I haven't been able to achieve anything greater than 86 Mb/s from the DVD player and it is usually around 52 - 57 Mb/s. Oddly, these speeds are obtained only via explicitly setting the transmission rate on the router. When I left the transmission rate automatic (i.e. to be determined by the connecting device), the DVD player defaulted to a significantly lower value - around 19 Mb/s.
Signal quality is fair (around 55% - 60%). I also tried running a Cat5 cable from the router to the DVD player and had no problems streaming via the wired connection. I believe, however, (and correct me if I'm wrong) that the NIC in the Samsung is fast ethernet, not gigabit, so one would think that utilizing the wireless-n adapter would result in at least comparable performance.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jonathan

@brantj - Did you ever get a response/solution to this?
@Samsung tech - can we get some help with this please.

It's not a controller environment. There can be interfering signals or other folk or things using the wifi. This seems to confound most owners. I wonder if wifi should be offered at all at times.
It is possible to help it along by changing to WPA security and having only one device use the wifi to get the most you can from the wifi link but considering that few makers offer a class on how wifi works I fear most complaints will escalate to disaster zones.
