Panasonic TC-L32C12 (Digital Out assistance)

I had this t.v for a while and was wondering if anyone could help me out if its possible. For me to connect a Dayton DAC-OC Toslink Optical To Digital Coaxial Converter. To the optical out of the tv and use it to connect it to a external speaker. Which would hopefully be able to work with the tv controller?

The Dayton DAC-OC only change the types of connector, from optical to coaxial, it is still a digital signal. This will not directly drive the speakers (if that's what I think you want to do).

Oh ok....don't know much bout this stuff but anyway Do you have any suggestion as to how i could go about listening to the T.V. through external speakers. And if i connect them to the optical out of the t.v. would they work even if i connect my cable box to T.V. with a hdmi cable?

regardless what input connection is being use (hdmi, components, etc.). The thing here is that you still need some device that convert the digital audio to analog audio that the speakers can use, which might be a receiver, amplifier, etc.

I did see the tv spec. and it has analog output, but could see where it is located thought. It it has it then any amplifier or receiver should work (no need for digital connection). If this is a speaker terminal output, then you are set. Just hookup the speaker to it. Like I said, I could see it from the picture, maybe your tv manual will do better. Take a look.
