Try Griff Suggestions at this link: http://forums.cnet.com/7726-6132_102-5098912.html

Does that "anti-virus" Scan if you start in safe mode or safe mode with networking?

Try to do the scan that are adjusted by the Griff's post in safe mode.

Remember that when you run rkill DO NOT RESTART THE COMPUTER! If you do you will have to run it again.

I hope that this will help in some way.

That can be a problem.

Try to use a Recuse CD at can be found at this link: http://www.avira.com/en/support-download-avira-antivir-rescue-system

Download the ISO and burn it to a CD or CD-RW.

On the infected PC change the start order to get the PC to start from the CD first in the boot order. The Rescue CD has a from of Linux on it. So it should boot as you are not going to Windows.

This link explains how to change it if you do not know how:http://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/change-boot-order-xp-vista/ It is a simple change. You will have to change it back when you are done.

It might do the trick. As I have not heard of that rouge so I cannot be sure.
